CIFM / interzum guangzhou 2027: WeMake for Global Co-creation

As a bellwether for Asia’s furniture manufacturing sector, CIFM / interzum guangzhou will take place from 28 to 31 March 2027 at the Canton Fair Complex in Guangzhou, China. Covering 170,000 sqm, the fair will welcome more than 1,700 domestic and international exhibitors covering the full upstream spectrum of woodworking machinery, upholstery machinery, hardware components, interior works, wood products and panels, adhesives, and textiles. Co‑located with China International Furniture Fair (Guangzhou) – Office and Commercial Space, the two events together form a seamless full‑supply‑chain spanning materials, machinery and finished goods.

Leveraging shared‑buyer synergies from the co‑location, the fair anticipates over 220,000 professional visitors from more than 180 countries and regions. Furniture manufacturers, traders, project‑specifiers, design professionals and brand decision‑makers will gather, giving exhibitors direct access to procurement demands.

Michiel Kruse, Managing Director of Koelnmesse China, shared his insights on Asia’s furniture industry: “Asia stands as a core regional manufacturing hub with robust industrial chains, rapid technology adoption and agile market responsiveness. It is also redefining industrial value — shifting focus away from pure production capacity toward user-centric value creation. In 2027, CIFM / interzum guangzhou will serve as a powerful anchor for worldwide collaboration, empowering companies to unlock business opportunities across the Asia-Pacific and global markets.”

2027 Theme: WeMake – Beyond Craft, Toward Care

Following 2026’s focus on the Smart Revolution, interzum guangzhou 2027 shifts perspective toward manufacturing’s core value. As streamlined production and precision processing become commonplace, and AI technologies penetrate end‑to‑end manufacturing workflows, the competitive edge in furniture‑making hinges on deep understanding of the end‑user experience.

Rooted in insights from ongoing global industrial transformation, WeMake embodies the show’s core narrative.

–      “We” stands for our collective industry community: show organisers, material suppliers, technology innovators, engineers, designers, brands and end‑users. By working together, this community combines fine craftsmanship and smart-manufacturing technologies to develop products and solutions built around human needs.

–      “Make” honours the core of furniture production. It spans the full value chain — material advancement, process innovation, machinery upgrades and complete space-oriented solutions. It drives the furniture supply chain to move beyond simply making goods, toward delivering tangible customer value.

“WeMake” is more than a tagline. It represents interzum guangzhou’s core belief and timely message to the industry: built on technology, guided by human‑centred thinking, and enabled through global collaboration, we invite the whole furniture sector to jointly shape a people‑focused, globally competitive future for our industry.

Global Resource Synergy

Backed by extensive resources from Koelnmesse GmbH and China Foreign Trade Centre Group, Ltd., CIFM / interzum guangzhou leverages its distinct international strengths and acts as a “connector” for global industrial collaboration. On one hand, it supports local enterprises to refresh their product portfolios, tap into China’s domestic renewal‑driven market and diversify their overseas market reach. On the other hand, it facilitates cross‑border, cross‑sector collaboration, enabling exhibitors to evolve from single‑product suppliers into comprehensive solution providers and fostering a closed‑loop ecosystem across the full value chain.

Leading international industry players have already confirmed their participation to seize Asia-market opportunities, including Ateja, Bostik, Boyteks, Cyber Lock, DewertOkin, IMA Schelling, impress, Interprint, LamiGraf, limoss, LINAK, Maus, Paolino Bacci, REHAU, RENOLIT, Schattdecor, SIMALFA®, SURTECO‌, WEMHONER.

Highly anticipated national and regional pavilions, including German Pavilion, U.S. Pavilion, Turkish Pavilion and Taiwan‑Region Pavilion, have officially kicked off recruitment, welcoming furniture manufacturers to seize abundant business opportunities across the Asia‑Pacific region.

In 2027, CIFM / interzum guangzhou will continue to build its global‑industry community, fostering deep collaboration between local enterprises, international brands, upstream suppliers and downstream solution providers to unlock new‑growth opportunities amid global competition.
